What Causes Foam in Hot Tubs and Spas?
Foam is caused when the filter system isn’t removing all of the bacteria and germs. This means that leftover body lotion, soap, detergent and general dirt and grime are still in your hot tub’s water – all of which add surfactants into the water. Surfactants are molecules and it’s these that actually cause the foam as the two sides of the molecules are different. One side absorbs water and the other repels and when these come into contact with air – bubbles and foam are created!
How Does Pro-Kleen’s Anti Foam Work?
Anti-Foam is a foam suppressant that removes and prevents foam from developing on the water’s surface. By neutralising the surfactants, the foam is quickly removed to make the water look crystal clear in no time!
Easy to Use
Pro-Kleen’s Anti Foam is super simple to use. Simply add 2 capfuls of the product into your hot tub or spa water and allow the product to circulate. The foam will then start to disappear – leaving the water fresh and clear!
